Product certification is a core component of UPVI Alliance's strategy. The benefits of product certification for both UPVI Alliance members and the industry at large are huge. Products that are certified to be compliant with UPVI Alliance specifications will give customers (of those products) confidence that those products will interoperate with other certified products. UPVI certification will enable vendors and manufacturers to mitigate risk and achieve secure and robust decision making through the management of risk and compliance.

The UPVI Alliance will maintain a database of products certified as fully-compliant with the published specifications. Products certified (and marked) as compliant with the published specification will be able to interconnect easily with other compliant products.

Products may be submitted for certification by members of the UPVI Alliance. They will be tested and certified for interoperability by an independent, third-party laboratory and the results will be approved if they meet the specification.

UPVI certification is meant to enhance, not replace, existing certifications such as UL, TUV, or CSA.

UPVI-compliant products will be listed here once the certification program is launched.
